Men's Embodiment Circle
Wednesday's 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. PST Via Zoom
What To Expect When Joining Our Men's Embodiment Circle
At our men’s group, also known as the “men’s embodiment circle", we dive into deep somatic, embodiment & shamanic practices and also spend time in circle to foster connection, support, and accountability within our community.
Our space is designed to cultivate the optimum environment for deep self-introspection, expression, and ultimately transformation toward your highest sense of self. Our gatherings provide high-caliber practices and community for those on “the path”
Men have an opportunity to begin to finally shed what no longer serves them in order to step more powerfully into what does. Becoming less attached to things outside ourselves and building a deeper relationship to inner aspects of ourselves that guide us toward self-actualization in alignment with our soul calling and path.
Each man creates a sacred space, conducive to practice in the comfort of his home (see “Preparation For Virtual Gathering” below), then we collectively and virtually share a powerful two-hour experience with one another.
The first fifteen minutes are spent with men’s introductions and setting intentions, then we fall into approximately 75 min. of deep practice, and the balance of the time we spend in a sharing circle.
Practices include movement, breath-work, physical and spiritual practices from various traditions including Tibetan Buddhism, Qigong, Kundalini, Archetypal embodiment, Shadow work, Shamanic practices, and deep dives into the subconscious via guided meditations. These practices are structured in a safe container that takes each man into spaces where the potential for deep healing and clarity can be experienced. We work on developing our masculine container as men of presence, depth, and consciousness as well as developing acceptance, expression, and a relationship with the feminine within.
In the circle portion of our gathering, we turn off the Zoom recording and each man has an opportunity to share in a safe container with the other men. What is shared here is held in strict confidence by a community of powerful, loving men.
You can share and debrief either your experience from the practices or simply where you are currently in your life. There is an intrinsic quality of nourishment that happens when men spend time together in practice and community.
Our goal is to cultivate and raise a community of powerful, conscious men, and we invite you to join us. There is no experience necessary for any of the above practices mentioned...come as you are. If you are hurting and need support, come. As the thirteenth-century poet Rumi said so eloquently, “Come, come, whomever you are. Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving. It doesn't matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come, yet again, come, come.” We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our circle.

Preparation For Men's Embodiment Circle
Virtual Attendance:
- Privacy - Set aside two uninterrupted hours for yourself. This is your time to give to yourself. You will need privacy.
- Intention - Set an intention on what you want to bring or receive in these two hours. You will be asked to claim your intention during introductions. Keep it short and to the point.
- Setting / Sacred Space - Create a sacred space for yourself to practice in. Take this seriously. If you’ve ever been to our physical gatherings, you see what meticulous attention goes into creating the sacred space we work in. At a minimum set yourself up with candles at the four directions and sage your space before stepping into it. You want your space to feel safe and inviting. Set it apart from other parts of your living space, and elevate the space. Make it sacred. Do not join a call from your car or a public place.
- Technical Non-Issues- Make sure you get your audio and video sorted out and that you have the latest version of Zoom before the start of the meeting so you don’t have to fuss with it when we begin. Wireless earbuds or headphones are recommended.
- Don't Rush - Set time aside for yourself to do this right. Make sure you log in as close to 5:45 p.m PST as possible, sit and ground yourself, you will see other men doing the same. This is your time, ease into the experience. Refrain from chatting with others, checking your phone etc. Sit, and tune into to the music being played and settle in. We start promptly at 6:00 P.M PST.
- Structure - Introductions, apx. 60 min. of continuous practice followed by a men’s circle, which allows each man to put his voice into the circle. What you share here, stays here in absolute privacy.
- Honor The Container - No late entries. No early departures. We honor ourselves and listen to our bodies. We go ALL IN yet are cognizant to advocate for ourselves as not to participate from a space of ego during practices. We find where our 80% edge lives and we breathe into the pose at hand and relax into it. What is shared in our circle portion of our gathering is considered sacred and private, it does not get shared with anyone, it stays in the circle. All practices are recorded and shared on our private online community page but no recordings take place during the circle portion of our gathering.
- Processing Potential Triggers - Some practices take us deep into spaces within the body and the unconscious where we hold pain and sometimes trauma. You are in a safe container and letting go and leaning in is encouraged but if by chance, post-practice you find yourself feeling stuck or triggered, we ask that you send a private chat message to Amir. Then stay after the circle portion of the gathering to work with him in helping you move through the existing charge.
In Person Attendance:
- Intention - Set an intention on what you want to bring or receive in these two hours. You will be asked to claim your intention during introductions. Keep it short and to the point.
- Sacred Space - You are entering into sacred space at our in-person gatherings. The work that the men do in our space is deep, sometimes painful, and confronting. Please be respectful when stepping into the practice space for you are stepping into space men have done deep work in. Once you check in, find your spot and sit quietly until the circle is opened. No phones or electronic devices are allowed in the practice space.
- Don't Rush - Set time aside for yourself to do this right. Make sure you arrive as early as possible. We usually open the doors for 30 min. before the start of each session. Check in, find your spot in the practice space then quiet yourself and drop in.
- Structure - We start with introductions, and move into the apex. 50-65 min. of continuous deep practice, followed by a men’s circle, which allows each man to put his voice into the space. The other men do not offer advice and hold space for you to share what is on your mind or heart. Your share is held in absolute privacy. What is shared here, stays here in confidence.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR
Amir's work with men spans a 30-year period with the subsequent founding of Embodied Masculine™ in 2018. His passion in the field of men’s work has been most influenced by mythopoetic men’s work, Sufi mysticism, yogic intimacy, Celtic mythology, Shamanism, Hermetic Qabalah, and Jungian archetypal psychology (see our lineage page for a deeper look).
He has dedicated his life to empowering men to live purpose-driven lives and connecting them to their highest selves and to the Natural world.
"In one sense, the voyage of self-discovery is solitary, but that doesn’t mean you have to take it all alone. A lot of men suffer silently when they are in creative chaos and feel something is wrong with them because they don’t realize other men are experiencing a similar disintegration of the old modes of masculinity. In matters of the psyche and spirit, taking the journey and telling the story go hand-in-glove, and that is why we need a listening community in order to make our solitary pilgrimage. The most powerful resource we have for transforming ourselves is honest conversation between men and men, women and men, men and women."
— Sam Keen, Fire In The Belly
"Being a part of a supportive men's group can be an extremely rewarding, humbling and transformative experience. To have like-minded, loving men who are as dedicated to their own spiritual growth as you are - who show you your blind spots, sit with you and listen to you - has the power to transform a man forever." - Amir Khalighi
