This is for the man who...
Has been carrying stress, anger, grief, shame, or pressure alone.
Feels disconnected from himself or other men.
Wants deeper brotherhood but doesn’t know where to find it.
Is tired of surface-level conversation.
Wants to get out of his head and back into his body.
Is ready to be more honest, present, and grounded in his life.
What happens in the circle
- You’ll arrive, settle into the space, and transition out of the pace of the day.
- We open with clear agreements and a brief intention from each man.
- From there, you’ll be guided through practices such as breathwork, movement, meditation, partner work, and embodied exercises to help you get out of your head and reconnect with your body.
- We then move into honest sharing and witnessing, where men are invited to speak from direct experience and be met without judgment, advice-giving, or fixing.
- All practices are invitational. You will never be forced to share or participate in anything that does not feel right for you.
A note from Genar (Head facilitator)
If you’re curious about attending a circle but feel nervous, skeptical, or unsure if you belong here, that’s completely welcome. I felt the same way when I first stepped into a men’s group.
What I found is that these spaces tend to attract men who are seeking depth, maturity, honesty, and something more real than surface-level connection.
This work changed my life because it gave me a place to bring the parts of myself I had spent years hiding, avoiding, or trying to figure out alone.
The fears and patterns that keep us stuck often come from old wounds we rarely have the space, support, or language to meet in everyday life.
My hope is that this circle gives you a place to stop carrying those things alone, meet yourself more honestly, and experience what genuine brotherhood can feel like.
I’ll see you in circle.

Meet Your Facilitators
HEAD FACILITATOR: GENAR MENDEZ (C-EMF2)
Genar Mendez (TFTP LVL2 Certified Facilitator) is a men’s work facilitator and embodiment practitioner who has been leading men’s circles since 2023.
As of 2026, he has assisted in nine Embodied Masculine retreats, serving in leadership and support roles within retreats, facilitator training spaces, and transformational men’s containers.
His path into men’s work was born from his own journey through shame, addiction, codependency, emotional shutdown, and disconnection from himself as a man.
Genar brings a grounded, compassionate, and direct presence to his facilitation, helping men move beyond intellectual understanding and into embodied experience.
At the heart of Genar’s work is a simple devotion: to help men stop abandoning themselves, reclaim their power with integrity, and walk through life with both strength and tenderness.
ASSISTANT FACILITATOR: CALEB RICHARDSON (C-EMF1)
Caleb Richardson (TFTP LVL1 Certified Facilitator) has been involved in men’s work and transformational practice through the Embodied Masculine community for the past three years. This work has profoundly impacted his life, expanding his sense of community, strengthening his connection to nature, bringing greater emotional awareness, and helping cultivate a clearer sense of purpose. Through consistent practice, he has also developed a more grounded relationship with anxiety and a deeper connection to the heart.
He completed Level 1 Transpersonal Facilitator Training with Amir Khalighi and has helped organize and lead both online and in-person practices within the community. Caleb is passionate about creating authentic spaces where men can connect more honestly, grow in self-awareness, and experience the strength of real community and brotherhood.
FAQs
- Do I need experience?
- No experience needed. Whether you're new to men's work or have years of experience, you are welcome here. We do our best to keep things simple and provide demonstrations of the practices.
- Will I be forced to share?
- No. Sharing is invitational, as are the practices.
- Is this religious?
- This is not religious or dogmatic. We have men from all walks of life and spiritual backgrounds, including some who are agnostic. The potency of these circles comes from the connections you make, and the practices do not require any particular belief system to be meaningful or effective.
- Can I come if I’m skeptical?
- Absolutely. The best way to know if this is for you is to experience it for yourself. No one will judge you if you decide it's not a fit. That said, we encourage men to attend 2–3 circles before deciding, as each gathering carries a different theme and flavor.
- Where is it located?
- Our venue is located at Amala Sanctuary in South Austin. Our practice space sits beneath an 800-year-old live oak tree, and there's plenty of parking.
- What should I bring?
- We have most everything you'll need. Just bring a water bottle and an eye mask.
Preparation For Men's Embodiment Circle
- Arrive With Presence - Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early so you have time to settle in, ground yourself, and transition out of the pace of the day. The circle begins promptly at the scheduled start time.
- Intention - Before arriving, take a few moments to reflect on what you are bringing into the circle and what you are opening yourself to receive. During introductions, you’ll be invited to briefly share your intention with the group.
- Dress Comfortably - Wear clothing you can easily move and breathe in. Some practices may include breathwork, movement, meditation, floor work, or partner exercises.
- Bring Water - Bring a water bottle and anything else you may need to remain physically comfortable and present during the gathering.
- Honor The Container - No late arrivals or early departures whenever possible. What is shared within the circle remains confidential and does not leave the room. We ask each man to participate with integrity, self-responsibility, and respect for the space and the men within it.
- Work Within Your Capacity - Some practices may bring you into deeper emotional territory. You are encouraged to participate fully while staying connected to your own body, boundaries, and needs.
"In one sense, the voyage of self-discovery is solitary, but that doesn’t mean you have to take it all alone. A lot of men suffer silently when they are in creative chaos and feel something is wrong with them because they don’t realize other men are experiencing a similar disintegration of the old modes of masculinity. In matters of the psyche and spirit, taking the journey and telling the story go hand-in-glove, and that is why we need a listening community in order to make our solitary pilgrimage. The most powerful resource we have for transforming ourselves is honest conversation between men and men, women and men, men and women."
— Sam Keen, Fire In The Belly
"Being a part of a supportive men's group can be an extremely rewarding, humbling and transformative experience. To have like-minded, loving men who are as dedicated to their own spiritual growth as you are - who show you your blind spots, sit with you and listen to you - has the power to transform a man forever." - Amir Khalighi
