Countdown to the start of this community gathering!
There are moments in the collective life when heaviness is not personal. It is shared. Grief, uncertainty, outrage, and fatigue move through the field, whether we name them or not. Fire in the Dark is a call to not carry that weight alone.
This is a community gathering to come together in presence and prayer. We will sit in circle and be met by one another. We will open with cacao, working with the heart as an organ of truth and resilience. We will share hapé in a sacred way, grounding the body, clearing the mind, and sharpening our attention. From there, we will fall into a prayer circle, offering what we are holding into something larger than ourselves.
As the night unfolds, we will turn toward movement as medicine. Not performance. Not escape. A remembering. Guided by the words of the Persian mystic Rumi, who spoke directly to times such as these:
“Dance, when you’re broken open.
Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off.
Dance in the middle of the fighting.
Dance in your blood.
Dance when you’re perfectly free.”
This gathering is an invitation to move joy through the body in the midst of darkness. To let breath, rhythm, and communal presence metabolize what words cannot. To remember that even now, especially now, life insists on moving.
Come as you are. Bring what is heavy. Bring your prayers, your grief, your devotion, and your willingness to be moved. We gather to tend the fire together, and to let that fire carry us through the dark.
Location: Butterfly Mountain, Topanga Canyon, CA
Located on over 70 acres in beautiful Topanga Canyon, our eco-sanctuary will immerse you in an oasis of nature, trees, and wildlife. Nestled in a private valley, with a seasonal waterfall and private mountain range as our backyard. The variety of vegetation throughout the grounds creates multiple microclimates on the property, creating different environments and landscapes. From lush, green, mossy fern banks along the natural creek to expansive valleys studded with boulders and sculptural trees. Meditative nature paths wind up the mountainside, leading to the breathtaking seasonal waterfall with tree-lined mountain and vista views.
This gathering sells out every year, and space is limited to 20 practitioners.
Keri Khalighi
Keri is a woman of depth, presence, and devotion - one who walks the edge between the seen and unseen. Her path has been shaped by over 2 decades of somatic listening, sacred intimacy, the fierce and tender initiations of motherhood, and the quiet discipline of Chadao. She tends to the feminine soul, inviting women into the temple of their bodies, the truth of their longings, and the reclamation of their voice and erotic knowing.
Through Way of the Elements, Keri curates spaces of beauty, depth, ritual and return -where women gather not to be fixed, but to remember. Rooted in ancient traditions and shaped by lived experience, her work is a living offering to the Feminine in all her wild, wise, and cyclical ways.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three daughters, and offers both in-person and online mentorship, ceremony, and immersion.
Amir Khalighi
Amir Khalighi is a teacher, husband, father, ritualist, and founder of Embodied Masculine™, a global brotherhood and initiatory path for men reclaiming their place as protectors of the sacred. For over three decades, he has walked beside men in their becoming, guiding them to shed false identities, remember their essence, and live in devotion to soul, integrity, and the natural rhythms of life.
Rooted in embodied wisdom and shaped by lived initiatory experience, Amir’s work draws from Tibetan Tantra, Hermetic philosophy, indigenous shamanic traditions, Jungian depth psychology, breathwork, and somatic experiencing. His offerings including transformational retreats, rites of passage, facilitator trainings, workshops, and private mentorship form a living temple where ancient ways meet modern longing, and where men are summoned into presence, purpose, and radical responsibility.
Through Embodied Masculine™, founded in 2018, Amir has midwifed the transformation of men across the globe inviting them not only to remember the sacred within, but to embody it in how they serve, lead, love, and live.
